Pyramid Circuits All-Stars
And now, some literally intangible arts to report on: On June 11th, something weird happened in the presence of a caterer's chocolate fountain...
A somewhat random assortment of performers connected to the DC Sonic Circuits collective had gathered at the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center to make a strange noise. The gallery space in Silver Spring has played host to many Sonic Circuits concerts but this time it was a party for the Pyramid itself, and its patrons, in preparation for the premiere of the film Beautiful Losers at the AFI.
We made a gentle racket while the Gallery Folk munched and sipped and chatted, hopefully enhancing the vibe with our sounds. But then The Folk departed for the film screening, and we stayed. And the jam got a bit weirder. Intangible Spouse wandered the room with the vidcam while we made noise, and the chocolate fountain burbled in the back of the room, pumping brown sugar stink into a room festooned with fragile paper art. And noise.
And lo, it was weird. Amen.
