Regulation levitation?

And now, a minor update on a recent post: The memorial in the median of Sherman Avenue at Columbia Road has mysteriously been elevated off the ground about two feet. Is there a safety-regulation height for memorial construction?

OR is this intended to be a karmic nightmare for people stopped at the light in tall SUVs who need to be glared at by a creepy fuscia bunny and a peach girlie-bear?

Be careful out there, people.

Included in an "around the world" blog, eh? Well, can there be any higher form of recognition than that? Kudos for presenting your DC snapshot to those of us not yet able to take our own sneak-peek at daily life (and more).

Now even more about the music scene! Midwest suburbia is leaving a void in my now tuneless soul...

Congratualtions for being included in "around the world." That's great! And fitting.

The rising memorial has become a metaphor for ascension. Fabulous! I love it that the drivers of SUV's must now brace themselves for confrontations with frightening stuffed animals. That sounds just right.

How was your grilled cheese sandwich yesterday? Good, I hope. My day was just fine. Onwards and upweards now, to Christmas.

Aiee, such catching up to do!

Around the World: Many thanks! I've perused the other sites there, and it would seem I'm in good company...

epota: Damn your tuneless soul, get thee to DC and we shall record-shop as only GODS were meant to...

Reya: As it happens, we ended up at Legal Seafood with a friend (where they had a trad. thanksgiving meal, but the fish & chips with Guinness seemed more RIGHT somehow), followed by a viewing of Beowulf 3D. Seems like quintessential Thanksgiving, no?

A bit of epic dragon-slaying never hurt anybody.

.......'cept the dragons, that is.
