The old and the upstart

Another view from the office roof-deck. This is a city of cranes. They stand everywhere like mammoth, eggbound termite queens, popping out apartment buildings all over the district. Here, the old Government Printing Office stands proud against an upstart condo building as it churns in the womb. Something tells me that condo will be righteously ugly when it's done. I will monitor its progress & report back...

And with that, I leave town for a week-plus in Alaska, with camera in hand. Please check back to see what amateur nonsense I end up posting -- it should be a fantastic trip. Also, a great friend (Anithe) has also started bloggin' about the joys of new parenthood & other adventures. No photos yet, but perhaps with a little encouragement...
